Obituary of RUTH JUNE MEISTRICH

Ruth J. Meistrich (nee Schneider), 88, died Saturday evening, Jan. 24, 2015 at Franciscan Oaks Care Center in Denville. Born in New York, she was a longtime resident of Pine Brook before moving to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany 54 years ago. Mrs. Meistrich graduated from the Julliard School of Music and was trained in voice and piano. She earned her Bachelors and Master Degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was a teacher with the Rockaway Township Schools for 31 years. Following her retirement, she she returned to teaching as an instructor of english as a second language at the County College of Morris. She was an avid gardner and was know for the beautiful blower beds and gardens that adorned her home. Mrs. Meistrich was preceded in death by her husband Jerome in 2004. She is survived by two sons; Nevin Meistrich and his wife Leslie, and Stephen Meistrich; two sisters, Joan Scher and Phyllis Riepp; and three grandchildren and their partners, Nellaney (Matt), Keith (Lara), and Brittany (Rich).
