Phyllis A. Porcello passed away Sunday afternoon, January 25,2015 at Trinitas Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ, surrounded by her family. She was 68. Born and raised in Newark, she was a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany for 26 years before moving to Monroe in 2010. Ms.Porcello had worked as an office manager with the Great West Life Insurance Company for 34 years, retiring in 2002. She was an avid supporter, coach, and former board member with the Morris County and Parsippany Soccer Clubs, and a member of the Italian American Club at RCC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael & Catherine Porcello. Survivors include her "best friend forever," Ms. Patricia McNamara; her sister, Mary Lou and her husband Tony; her brother, Michael; her beloved Godson, Sean McNamara; and four nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Transplant Foundation at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, 654 West 170th Street, New York, NY 10032 or the American Lung Association, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083 would be appreciated
