Obituary of SISTER THERESE FRANCIS LORENZ

Sister Therese Francis Lorenz, 95, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station, NJ. Sister Therese Francis was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Kamp) Lorenz. She entered the Sisters of Charity on March 25, 1938 and was a member for 76 years. Sister Therese Francis graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth with a B.S. degree in Education. She served in the education ministry in New Jersey. She was a teacher at St. Mary School, Millville; St. Mary Elementary School, Dumont; Immaculate Conception School, Franklin and at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Ridgewood. Sister Therese retired to Caritas Community, Jersey City in 2005 and moved to Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station in 2006 where she resided until her death. She is survived by the Sisters of Charity, her brother Francis Lorenz, her sister Marjorie Martin, and nieces Catherine Martin and Mary Grabert. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph.Lorenz.
