Ann E. Burke (nee Hastie) passed away Saturday morning, February 28, 2015 at Franciscan Oaks Heatlh Care Center surrounded by her family. She was 87. Born in Passaic, she was raised in Clifton and was a 57 year resident of the Pine Brook section of Montville before moving to Franciscan Oaks in Denville several years ago. Mrs. Burke had worked in accounts payable with the Montville Township Board of Education for 25 years before retiring 22 years ago. She was a founding member of St. Pius X Parish in Montville as well as a past member of its Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pine Brook Fire House. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent H. Burke in 2007, she is survived by her four children, Robert Burke (Marel) of Coventry, NY, Kathleen Rudowsky (John) of West Milford, Eileen Wishnie (Victor) of Basking Ridge, and Laure Uphoff (Karl) of Avon by the Sea; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. At the family's request, viewing, funeral services and interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi were all held privately.
