Obituary of SISTER SUZANNE FAULKNER

Sister Suzanne Faulkner, a Sister of Charity of St. Elizabeth passed away Saturday evening, February 28, 2015 at St. Anne Villa in Florham Park, NJ. She was 88.
Sister Suzanne was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Thomas G. and Ruth A. (Bueckley) Faulkner. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 18, 1973 and was a member for 41 years.
Sister Suzanne graduated from Caldwell College, Caldwell, NJ with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and from La Salle College, Philadelphia, PA with an M.A. degree in Religious Education. Sister Suzanne was a teacher and pastoral minister in the States of New Jersey and Hawaii. She was a teacher in Our Lady of Sorrows School, South Orange; she served as a Religious Education Coordinator at Annunciation Parish, Wayne; St. John Vianney Church, Oahu, Hawaii; and Immaculate Conception Parish, Montclair. She was a legal secretary at The Lord's House of Prayer, Montclair, and secretary at Montclair State University, Montclair. She was in Pastoral Ministry at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Whitehouse Station and at St. Catherine Church, Glen Rock. She then served as an assistant sacristan at Holy Family Chapel, Convent Station. She moved to Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station in 2011 where she resided until her death, using her art in acrylic painting and in social media presentations.
She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; her nieces, Suzanne and Valerie Faulkner, and nephew, Jeff Faulkner, all of Durham, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and Thomas Faulkner.
