Obituary of THOMAS E. MURRAY

Thomas E. Murray Jr. passed away peacefully Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany surrounded by his family He was 71. Born in Orange, he was raised in Kearny and also lived in Bloomfield before coming to Lake Hiawatha in 1981. Mr. Murray served in the United States Navy on the USS Essex during the Vietnam Era. He was a traffic manager with Power Dynamincs, Inc, in Whippany for 18 years before retiring 20 years ago. Mr. Murray was a member of American Legion Post 249 of Lake Hiawatha. He is survived by h is loving wife of 36 years, Joanne (nee Pollina) Murray; his mother, Helen (Johnston) Brown; three children, Thomas E. Murray III and his wife Tracy of Tenenssee, Tracy Murray of Lake Hiawatha, and Shannon Murray of Lincoln Park; three siblings, Carolann Murray of Virginia, Richard Gregor of Rockaway, and Jim Gregor of Hopatcong; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
