Obituary of SISTER MARIE CLAUDIA RINK

Sister Marie Claudia Rink, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station, NJ at the age of 99. Sister Marie Claudia was born in Clifton, New Jersey, the daughter of William and Catherine (Lesch) Rink. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 8, 1944 and was a member for 70 years. Sister Marie Claudia graduated from Saint Mary Hospital School of Nursing, Passaic, NJ and Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey with a B.S.N. degree. She served in the health ministry at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She was an Assistant Nursing Arts Instructor, Supervisor of Central Service Department, Supervisor of Obstetrics and Director of Obstetric/Pediatric/Surgical Nursing Services. She then served an administrative assistant, an Acuity/Audit Coordinator in Nursing and as a volunteer Nursing Administrator. She retired to Saint Anne Villa in 2010 where she resided until her death. She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; numerous nieces and nephews, grand- and great-grand-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sisters of Charity Development Fund, P.O. Box 476, Convent Station, NJ 07961-0476 would be greatly appreciated.
