Obituary of ROSLYN ROSE CAMP

Please share a memory of ROSLYN to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Roslyn Rose Camp was born to Helen and Benjamin Cohen in Manhattan in 1924, and was followed by 3 sisters, Judy, Louise, and Bobbie. After graduating Julia Richmond High School in 1942, she married her "Jimsey," who soon went to fight in World War II. A year after he returned, their daughter Janet was born, and 4 years later their son Gary. Rose and Jim lived in the Bronx until 1968, and then moved to Pine Brook NJ. Rose worked at Chubb Insurance in NJ until she retired in 1989. Rose and Jim were best friends, and after they retired they were inseparable. They went everywhere together, driving all over the east coast for vacations, often with their grandchildren. Their major vacation was a trip to Italy shortly after they retired. Rose was an avid reader, and her primary love was her family. Jim passed away in 2004, and after 2 years Rose went to live first at Chelsea Assisted Living in Montville NJ, and then at Merry Heart in Boonton NJ, where she passed away peacefully Friday morning. Rose is survived by her children, Janet and spouse Ken Lifshitz, and Gary and spouse Eileen. She had 5 grandchildren who have given her 6 great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Roslyn is also survived by her 3 sisters and their families.
