Obituary of CRESENZO DiLELLA

Cresenzo C. "Chris" DiLella passed away Saturday evening, September 26, 2015 at the Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida following an extended illness. He had recently celebrated his 90th Birthday. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident. He began maintaining a second home in Cape Coral, Florida 25 years ago and became a permanent resident following the passing of his wife, Rita. Mr. DiLella served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed in the Pacific Theatre. He had worked as a manager of Retail Sales with the United States Post Office in Paterson for 40 years retiring 25 years ago. He was also the "first employee" of ADP in Paterson and had worked with the company for many years. Mr. DiLella was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rita (Fanelli) in 1995. Survivors include his four sons, Monsignor Christopher C. DiLella of St Peter the Apostle Parish in Parsippany, NJ, James DiLella and his wife Laura of Kiawah Island, SC, Alfred DiLella and his wife Fran of Lutherville, MD, and George DiLella and his wife Karen of Neshanic Station, NJ; three brothers, Father Mario DiLella,OFM and Father Alexander DiLella, OFM both of St. Petersburg, FL, and Alexander DiLella Jr. and his wife Maryann of Green Pond, NJ; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
