Helen Chabachu, 94, passed away Monday, October, 12, 2015 at Genesis/ Troy Hills Center in Parsippany.
Born in the Ukraine, she immigrated to the United States in 1951 settling in Paterson. She had also lived in Montville before coming to Parsippany 6 years ago.
Mrs. Chabachu had worked with the Universal Manufacturing Company in Paterson for many years, retiring 30 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chusein Chabachu. Surivors include her son Ladis Karkowsky and his wife Recida of Montville; two granddaughters, Jennifer Casola and Cheryl Sproul; and six great-grandchildren, Julia, James, Sabrina, Gracie, Richard, and Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center would be appreciated.
