Kimani A. Francis passed away suddenly Sunday, November 1, 2015 at his home in Parsippany. He was 23.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he migrated to the United States at the age of five, settling in Irvington. He had lived the last eight years in Parsippany.
Kimani was a 2010 graduate of Parsippany High School and matriculated at the Universal Technical Institute in Pennsylvania.
He worked as a mechanic with Towne Toyota in Ledgewood for the last two years.
Kimani was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown. He was also an avid sports fan; especially of the Arsenal Soccer Team. He played with the Soccer Clubs of Parsippany and East Orange.
Survivors include his mother, Cheryl Johnson of Parsippany; his father, Anthony Francis of Pennsylvania; a brother, Malik Francis of Parsippany; a sister, Janelle Francis of Jamaica; maternal grandparents; Veronica Sterling and Ralston Johnson; paternal grandmother, Vinola Francis; one nephew and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Francis.
