Obituary of MILDRED A. CLEFFI

Mildred A. Cleffi (nee Torquato) passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Nov. 19, 2015 at the Chelsea in Montville. She was 90. Born and raised in Kearny she had lived in Belleville and Nutley before coming to Montville. Mrs. Cleffi had worked as a furniture adjuster with Bambergers in Belleville, and later as a purchasing clerk with Wallace & Tiernan in Belleville, retiring in 1992. She was a former member of the Belleville and Montville Seniors. Mrs. Cleffi was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Cleffi; three sisters, Helen Antonelli, Rose Pilla, and Pauline Peters; a son-in-law, Richard Luzzi, and three grandchildren. Surviors include her children, James F. Cleffi and his wife Vivian of Pine Brook, Karen Maione and her husband John of Tewksbury, and Annette Luzzi of Belleville; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
