Obituary of EDWARD WALTER STRASSER

Edward W. Strasser passed away peacefully Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his home in Montville surrounded by his family. He was 80. Born in Newark, he lived in Bloomfield before coming to Montville 46 years ago. Mr. Strasser had worked as a chief automotive upholsterer with Public Service Electric and Gas in Raritan for 42 years, retiring in 1997. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maureen (nee Lehman); three daughters, Meg Huber and her husband Otto of Stanhope, Mary Ellen Pinand and her husband Rex of Pompton Lakes, and Erin Longo and her husband Joe of Oak Ridge; and four grandchildren, David and Brian Pinand, and Nicole and Ashley Longo. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Strasser.
