Major Cladis N. Ferri (nee De Paula), also known as Cladis N. De Ferri, passed away Friday evening, January 8, 2016 at her home in Hopatcong following an extended illness. She was 89.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Major Ferri immigrated to the United States in 1968, settling in Puerto Rico. She had lived in New York City, NY and Bloomingdale before coming to Hopatcong five years ago.
Major Ferri had worked as a minister with the Salvation Army in New York City, NY for over 28 years before her retirement 20 years ago.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Cesar Ferri; a daughter, Martha Ferri-Della Sala and her husband Albert of Landing; a sister, Norma Paredes of Uruguay; and two grandchildren, Dustin and Rachel Della Sala.
