Obituary of JOSEPH ANTHONY HORN

Joseph A. Horn passed away suddenly Easter Sunday evening, March 27, 2016 at the home of his companion in Staten Island, NY. He was 39. Born in Dover, NJ, he was a longtime resident of the area. Mr. Horn was currently working in construction in New York. Previously, he had worked as an environmental technician with Prime Environmental in Morris Plains. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Joseph is survived by his six children, Siobhan Marie Horn, Rylee Rae Horn, Keegan Christopher Horn, MacKenzie Ariana Horn, Ava Grace Horn, and Jaden Anthony Encarnacion; his parents, Joseph M. Horn and Carmen S. Torres; his maternal grandmother, Maria Santiago Suarez Soto; a brother, Christopher Horn; his aunts and uncles, Miriam Horn (with whom he lived), John Mercer, Clarence Horn, Margarita Torres, Monserate Torres, Tatiana Torres, Ray Torres, Sandra Torres, and Ednita Torres; and his companion, Shazmae Rivera Salerno. Joseph was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence H. and Mercedes M. Horn; and his maternal grandfather, Ramon Torres-Torres. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to be used for the education of his children. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
