Samuel Russell Dalzell, 67, passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2016 at West Caldwell Care Center following an extended illness.
Born in Jersey City, Mr. Dalzell was a resident of Kearny and Clifton before coming to Parsippany in 2000.
He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971 and was stationed in Germany.
Mr. Dalzell had worked as a deli man and manager with the Acme Market in Clifton and later Shop Rite of Little Falls before retiring in 2000.
An avid Yankees and wrestling fan, he was a member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan (nee Corneilson); two sons, Chad Dalzell and his wife Kristen of Wanaque, and Eric Dalzell and his girlfriend Michelle Neidenberg of Parsippany; two sisters, Sharon Stewart of North Arlington, and Patricia Chadwick of Florida; two grandchildren, Madeline and Shane Dalzell; and many nieces and nephews.
