My condolences on the passing of Frank. We (my husband who passed in 2012, my daughter, Alexa, & I) were next door neighbors on Peach Court in Scotch Plains. The Baricevic's were great neighbors. I remember with fondness Frank walking the neighborhood (with cigarette in hand). Another gentle soul whose time on this plane was short. May he rest in peace.

My uncle wasn't dealt the best hand in life but he never complained. He was a man who had little to give and yet still insisted on giving. Each time I would see him he would offer money, drinks, sweets, you name it. Despite his disorder, he was still sublimely happy at his core. It didn't take much to make him smile, just a pack of cigarettes, family, and a coke would leave him grinning from ear to ear. That smile will be missed. The conversations will be missed. His loving embrace will be missed. Life now will never be the same without him, but I'd like to think he's happier now with my grandparents in heaven.

Frank and I used to speak German together, and I am sure he would have appreciated this German quote: "Nicht die Schonheit bestimmt, wen wir lieben, sodern die Liebe, wen wir Schon finden" (=It's not beauty which determines whom we love, but love determines who we find beautiful). Rest in peace Frank, you are in good hands with your mom and dad in Heaven. You will be missed.
