Obituary of SONIA E. FIGUEROA

Sonia E. Figueroa (nee Fernandez) passed away Wednesday evening, June 22, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center following an extended illness. She was 70. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, she immigrated to the United States in 1973 settling in Orange. She had lived in Newark before coming to Parsippany in 1980. Mrs. Figueroa had worked in the Housekeeping Department at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville for many years before retiring in 2008. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Mario W. Figueroa; two daughters, Laura Figueroa of Woodland Park, and Giselle Figueroa of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; her brother, Mario Fernandez of Montevideo, Uruguay; and two grandchildren, Nicolas Della Fuente and Sophia Matkovic.
