Obituary of THOMAS K. PAUL

Thomas K. Paul Kanjiramkunnel passed away suddenly Friday morning,July 22, 2016 at his home in Parsippany. He was 71 years old. Thomas was born January 5, 1945 in Vazhakulam, Kerala, India. He was the fourth of eight children born to Thomas Thomas and Annamma Thomas Kanjiramkunnel. He was educated in India, earning his Bachelors, Masters, and Law Degrees from Aligarh University in Uttar Pradesh, India. Post graduation, he worked in New Delhi High Court as a lawyer. Thomas later worked at King Fahad University in Saudi Arabia from 1981 to 1987, at which time he returned to Kerala and practiced law until 2000. Thomas immigrated to The United States in 2000 along with his family, settling in Wayne, NJ. He came to Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 9 years ago. Since coming to the United States, Thomas had worked as a paralegal at the law firm of John Esposito in Cedar Grove and as a realtor with Striker Realty in Livingston for three years before becoming ill. He had an active religious life teaching Catechism in Garfield Syro Malabar Church, and assisting Father Babu Thielapilly in starting the Malayalam religious services at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Parsippany, NJ, where he was also an active parishioner. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Margaret, their three children; Arun Paul of West Orange, Danny Kanjiramkunnel of Parsippany, and Albin Paul of Parsippany; his daughters-in-law, Rincy and Neethu; and his granddaughter, Riona. His brother, Jose, and four sisters; Lucy, Celine, Alphonsa, and Tessy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anama, and his brother Thomas, and his sister, Mary. A Funeral Mass and burial will be held at St. Matthew R.C. Church, Nadukkara, Vazhakulam, Kerala, India.
