Sister Therese Christine Amero, 79, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station, NJ. Sister Therese Christine was born in New York City, NY, the daughter of Alfred and Louise (Johnson) Amero. She entered the Sisters of Charity on March 6, 1955 and was a member for 61 years. Sister Therese Christine graduated from Saint Vincent Hospital, Montclair, NJ with an LPN degree in Practical Nursing. Sister Therese Christine served in health care ministry at St. Vincent Hospital, Montclair; Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station; All Souls Hospital, Morristown; St. Elizabeth Hospital/Trinitas Hospital Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, NJ. She retired in 2009 at St. Mary of the Assumption Convent, Elizabeth. She moved to Saint Anne Villa, Convent Station in 2012 where she resided until her death. She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; her sister and brother-in-law Christine and Russell Burns, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and one great-grandnephew. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sisters of Charity Development Fund, P.O. Box 476, Convent Station, NJ 07961-0476 would be greatly appreciated.
