Obituary of EDWARD HENRI GRIFFOUL

Edward Henri Griffoul, 78, passed away Saturday morning, September 24, 2016 at his home in Montville.
Born in Newark, he had lived in Lyndhurst and Fairfield before coming to Montville in 2002.
Mr. Griffoul served in the United States Army during peacetime. He had been stationed in Japan before his honorable discharge.
He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, and had worked as an electronics salesman for many years before his retirement 15 years ago.
Mr. Griffoul had pitched baseball while in the United Sates Army. Later, he was a semi-pro baseball player and pitcher and was invited to the San Francisco Giants' training camps. He was also a former Professional Bowler.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary (nee Schlegel) Griffoul; three daughters, Karen Arkin (Michael) of New Hyde Park, NY, Donna Vizzuso (Frank) of Montville, and Nancy Festini (David) of Montville; a brother, Roger Griffoul (Carol) of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Julia, Emilee, Hannah, Kellie, Danny, Aimee, and David; a nephew, Brian (Ananis) Griffoul; a niece, Kristie Griffoul; and a great-niece, Adriana.
