Obituary of REVEREND WILLIAM SANTELIZ

Reverend William Santeliz entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice following a well-fought battle with cancer. He was 49 years young. A native of Chiquinquira, Venezuela, Father Santeliz earned his Bachelors Degree from Saint Thomas Aquinas Seminary, Maracaibo, Venezuela in 1994 and his Masters Degree in Philosophy from Cecilio Acosta University, Maracaibo, Venezuela in 1995. After immigrating to the United States, he studied at The Neocatechumenate Seminary, Kearny, NJ, Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ and Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary, Orchard Lake, MI before his ordination as a Roman Catholic Priest with the Diocese of Paterson, NJ on May 26, 2007. Father Santeliz served as a Parochial Vicar at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Parsippany, NJ from 2007-2010, and St. Therese Parish, Succasunna from 2010 until the present. He is survived by his parents, Amenaida Guevara and Nestor Santeliz; three brothers, Wilmer, Wilson, and Wilmerson, and many family and friends in the United States and abroad.
