Wilberto Otero, 63, passed away suddenly Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he had lived in New York before coming to Parsippany 22 years ago.
Mr. Otero had served in the U.S Army, 82nd Airborne Division during peacetime.
He had worked as an environmental care specialist with the United States Veterans Administration Hospitals in East Orange and Lyons for over 41 years. He was set to retire in the very near future.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Zoraida (nee Granados); two children, Jennifer Otero-Averett and her husband Rashon, and Jason Otero; and a granddaughter, Alexis Juliana Averett
