Obituary of TAMESSAER TOM RAMBAROSE

Tamessar "Tom" Rambarose passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 15, 2016 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. He was 89. Born and raised in Albion, Guyana, he ha lived in Grenada and Surinam before immigrating to the United States in 1987, settling in East Orange. He had been a resident of Fairfield since 1996. Mr. Rambarose had been a self employed tailor and business owner for many years before his retirement 25 years ago. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Towaco. He was preceded in death by two children, Leonard Rambarose and Cecil Basdeo, and five siblings. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Nirmala (nee Mahadeo) Rambarose; and eight children, Marlilyn Singh and Lisa Rambarose of Florida, Kennard Rambarose of Fairfield, Gordon Rambarose of Lake Hiawatha, Egeria Rambarose of Fairfield, Merrill Rambarose of Edison, Chauncey DeFranco of Denville, Deborah Rambarose of Fairfield, and Aaron Rambarose of Brooklyn, NY; three sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
