Dear friends, regrettably, I did not get word of Herman's passing, was out of the area last week, and just found out today that I have missed the opportunity to visit you during shiva.
I wish you the healing and strength that comes from knowing that you left no love expressed. He brought comfort to so many in this community, who will, I pray, learn from his example and continue his presence in the world.
I send love,
Cantor Riki Lippitz

Dear Renee
I was saddened to learn about the passing of Rabbi Sabitz - the kindness man I ever met. I was in Israel when I received the news- I am sorry I didn't have the chance to say goodbye but I will always remember the warmth he felt for the patients at Greystone and I looked forward to the holiday parties we had there . When my mother and husband were patients at Morristown Memorial , The rsbbi was such a comforting presence. I know God has a wonderful place for him but how do we accept his loss here on earth? By remembering, by following his lead . Please take care of yourself and take some comfort in knowing how much he was loved and respected by so many . Carol Shapiro

Hermie was a dear friend and colleague. I chose him to marry my second husband and I
Because of the special ceremony he performed. I will always remember him for his kind manner, kind words and loving spirit. May his memory be for a blessing.

I remember that every time my mother was in the hospital, Rabbi Savitz would visit. He was a great man.
