Obituary of HECTOR A. BARAHONA VARGAS

Hector A. Barahona Vargas passed away Tuesday morning, December 13, 2016 at Hackensack University Medical Center following an extended illness. He was 58. Born in Zacapa, Guatamala he lived most of his life there before coming to the United States four years ago, settling in Rockaway Boro. Mr. Barahona was a farmer and owned his own farm in Guatemala before his retirement. He was a member of the Familia de Dios Church in Denville. Survivors include his wife with whom he spent 38 years, Martha Alicia Barahona; his father, Carlos Barahona of Guatemala; three sons, Marvin E. Barahona of Dover, Fredy O. Barahona of Rockaway, and Jorge A. Barahona of Rockaway; three brothers, Melvin, Carlos, and Jorge Barahona; four sisters, Mirna, Nolemi, Lilian, and Dina Barahona; and four grandchildren. Following the services, Mr. Barahona will return to his native Guatemala.
