Obituary of JOHN PLATHOTTATHIL JOSEPH

John Plathottathil Joseph passed away Friday evening, January 6, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was 68. Born in Kerala, India, he came to the United States in 1995, settling in East Hanover, NJ. Mr. Joseph held three Masters Degrees and had been a business owner while in Kerala, India. After coming to the United States, Mr. Joseph had worked as an educator with the Teaneck Board of Education, Teaneck, NJ since 1995. His loving wife, Mary Lukose Plathottathil preceded him in death one week earlier. Survivors include his children, Soya Smith of East Hanover, Sudeep John of Morris Plains, and Sujith John of East Hanover; two step daughters, Rani Sunny of California, and Rony Many of New Jersey; three siblings, Matthew "Joy" Joseph, Prema Matthew, and Jaya Cyriac all of India; and six grandchildren.
