Norbert Schmid, age 71, passed away Monday at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.
Born in Schoenfeld, Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1981, settling in Morristown in 1982.
He had been an Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing with the Troy Company of East Hanover, NJ before retiring 15 years ago. Previously he worked in the same capacity with British Petroleum and as a manager with the Hoeshst Pharmaceutical Company.
Mr. Schmid is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Birgit Schmid-Salm.
Arrangements are private. A Memorial Gathering will be planned at a later date.
