Mrs. Albert was the crossing guard at the elementary school and I remember stopping to chat with her on the way home from junior high school everyday. She was a lovely person and will be greatly missed. RIP.

To Shane, Toni, Joe and the Albert family,
We wish to offer our sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. Gloria and I often speak of the fun we all had when we all lived on Minnihaha Blvd. I especially remember her being a MET Fan. She would come over watch a game on black and white T.V. and have a few beers. It was a great neighborhood. After moving to Knoll Road one of the first Christmas card we would get was love from "Valarie and Bill". Seeing her at her crossing guard post she always had a wave and her smile. She inspired many of the students that she crossed. She and Bill will be missed greatly. And for you Shane, Toni is always watched out for in town. She brings smiles to everyone also.

Dearest Valerie,
May both you and Bill rest in peace, forever, together. One of your greatest legacies lives on, my fantastic 'Uncle Joe' - thank you for raising such an incredible son, and human.
I remember your contagious smile, laughter and most of all, huge hugs when you came out to Australia many years ago when I was just a little girl. Your struggles are now over, you are free, and memories are ours to keep.
Deepest condolences to Joe & Terri Albert, and beautiful Toni. xxx
Love from Amanda, Zack, Dakota & Portia xxxx

It is so hard to believe that both Val and Bill are no longer with us, but I try to remember their spirits live on. I think of them everyday, especially now that the weather is nicer. Bill would be outside and we would talk, as Toni walked up the street. Val would be sitting on the steps and we would chat as long time neighbors and friends do. It was always a friendly wave or beep at the corner of NB and Vail, for so many years, and even now, I still expected to see her there when I passed by. I already miss the good mornings and waves as I left for work and Bill was going to the store. Bill and Val touched so many of our lives. You both will always be remembered and very sadly missed. With My
Deepest Sympathies to Shane, Tammie and Kids and to Toni I will miss you, stay in touch. Love Annie
