Bina R. Desai (nee Patel) passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. She was 62.
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, she immigrated to the United States in 1991, settling in Parsippany. She had been a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of the township for the last 20 years.
Mrs. Desai earned her Bachelor's Degree from M.S. University in Baroda, India.
She had worked as a Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Representative with Aphena Pharmaceutical of Whippany for over 20 years before her retirement three years ago.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 42 years, Rasesh J. Desai; a daughter, Nirali R. Patel and her husband Utpal of Parsippany; a son, Pratik R. Desai of Lake Hiawatha; three sisters, Varsha Patel of Lake Hiawatha, Bhavna Patel of Florida, and Mamuta Patel of India; a brother, Shreyas Patel of Parsippany; and two grandchildren, Diya and Anya Patel.
