I learned today of the passing of one of my former students at the VLANJ.
Charlene was such a special person; she had the kindest heart and a great spirit. She loved art and words- she had a special talent for languages and was able to chitchat in Chinese, Hebrew, French and Spanish- all self taught through her love of people and her special ability to connect with anyone.
Charlene was the first and only person that I met that love glitter as much as I do. She loved making art and took a great joy and a great pride of it. She was so generous and always brought art supplies to share (glitter!!).
She loved to read and missed reading books so much... she loved cats, and life, and to laugh. She always told the funniest (and dirtiest...) jokes, and accept life's difficulties with such grace and a great sense of humor.
Charlene- you are going to be missed by many. I hope you knew how much we all loved and appreciated you.
Rest In Peace my friend, I hope you are finally reunited with your mom, which you loved and missed so much.
I'm going to cherish our time together always.

Working with Charlene was wonderful. She was always so kind to everyone and I always enjoyed speaking with her when she visited Human Resources from time to time. I hope that the lovely memories her Family shared together will ease their sorrow a little.
