Obituary of JOSEPH A. ODDO

Joseph A. Oddo, Sr., 88, passed away Thursday evening, Aug. 3, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Born in New York, NY, he had lived in Lodi, NJ before coming to Montville Township, NJ 52 years ago. He was a builder and carpenter, retiring in 1999. He was a founding member of the Montville Broncos Association and had had been a wrestling and football coach. He was also a member of the Montville Seniors. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Angela R. (nee Bagnole); his beloved children, Elizabeth Kane and her husband Kevin of Montville, Joseph A. Oddo Jr. of Hackettstown, and Nancy O. Mertz and her husband Christopher of Towaco; and six cherished grandchildren, Melissa Essman and her husband Andrew, Samantha and Alison Kane, Nicole Oddo, and Amanda and Michael Mertz. He was preceded in death by five siblings. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to the Montville 1st Aid Squad.
