Obituary of DOLORES L. BRANDAO

Dolores L. Brandao passed away peacefully August 4, 2017 at Care One at Hanover Township. She was 73.
Born and raised in Newark she had moved to Parsippany in 1976. She had also lived in Morris Plains before coming to Montville several years ago.
Ms. Brandao was a 1966 graduate of Newark Teacher's College and earned her Master's Degree from Kean College in 1969.
She was a teacher, administrator and a vice principal with the City of Newark Board of Education for 35 years, retiring as the Vice Principal of The Abbington Avenue School in 2000.
Ms. Brandao was a parishioner of St. Peter The Apostle Church in Parsippany, where she was a member and past-president of the Rosary Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister, a Religious Education teacher, and a member of the Good Samaritans. She was also an Associate of the Sisters of the Church, and a member of the National Council of Catholic Women, AARP, and a volunteer at the Parsippany Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Licinio and Dolores Brandao. Survivors include two godsons, Neerjit Singh and Rodolpho Cruz; and a host of friends.
Private cremation will follow.
