Matthew J. Regan passed away suddenly Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home in Las Vegas, NV. He was 29.
Born in Denville, NJ,, he was a lifelong resident of Boonton before moving to Las Vegas several months ago.
Matthew was a proud member of the Grayhawks Youth football organization of Boonton, and in 2006 he graduated Boonton High School as an honor student, champion wrestler and All-Star football player. He was the Captain of both his high school wrestling and football teams.
He then attended Centenary College and earned the role of wrestling Captain again. He worked as an activities leader during Summer Camp at the local YMCA and in 2011 graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration as a two-time Academic All-American wrestler.
After college, he became a high-achieving employee at Prudential and College Hunks.
Most of all, Matt had a heart of gold and was a humble, kind, gentle man who believed he was saved by the Grace of God, through faith in Jesus for good works towards all.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Edward J. and Mary Ann (nee Guarino) Regan. He was a loving brother to Thomas Regan and Andrew Regan both of Boonton. He is also survived by his grandparents, Theresa and Carmen Guarino of Towaco, and Sally Regan (the late William) of Montville. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
