Obituary of JOHN ANGELO CAVALLUZZI

John Angelo Cavalluzzi, 64, passed away suddenly Sunday evening, Nov. 12, 2017 at Atlantic City Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a longtime resident there before moving to South Jersey in the 1980's. John earned his Bachelors Degree from Thomas Edison University. He was a computer scientist with the Federal Aviation Administration in Atlantic City for the last 17 years. Previously, he had worked with the Golden Nugget and Taj Mahal Casinos in Atlantic City. John was a die-hard New York Yankees and Giants fan. Preceded in death by his parents, Vito and Josephine (nee Forte) Cavalluzzi and a brother, Larry Cavalluzzi; he is survived by his longtime companion, Joy Duke of Pleasantville, NJ; a sister, Donna J. Murgola and her husband Michael of Bayonne, NJ; his two nephews, Larry Cavalluzzi Jr. and his wife Haily, and their children Nicholas and Sophia all of Bradenton, FL; and Anthony Murgola of Jersey City, NJ. John is also survived by his "girls" Lucy and Pearl, and a host of family, special neighbors and friends who were touched by his generous and giving spirit. In light of John's love for dogs and all animals, the family has requested that In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to your favorite Animal Rescue Organization.
