Thanh Thuc Tran passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was 85.
Born in 1932 in Baclieu, Republic of South Vietnam, she moved to Saigon in 1950 after her marriage to her beloved husband, Dan Chan Lam, who passed away in 2016. In 1989 Thanh immigrated to the United States, settling in Parsippany.
Thanh was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dan Chan Lam, her parents, Thinh Tran and Thi Tho Vuong, and a sister, Thuc Ngoc Tran.
She is survived by her seven children, Xuyen Tiep Lam of Boonton, Chep Po Lam of Lake Hiawatha, LeKhanh ("Lee") Thi Lam of Parsippany, LeBinh ("Lee") Thi Lam of Parsippany, Huy Tiep ("Henry") Lam of Parsippany, Sum Lam Tran of Denville, LeDuyen ("Linda") Lam Tran of Boonton; and nine grandchildren, David Lam, Jennifer Elizabeth Lam, Rebecca Elizabeth Lam, Kimberly Elizabeth Lam, Laura Annette Tran, Douglas Alexander Tran, Julie Annette Tran, Michael George Holden, Sophia Elizabeth Lam.
