Obituary of WERNER SCHRAMM

Werner Schramm passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Morristown Medical Center, in the presence of his family. He was 79.
Born in Speyer, Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1965, settling in Ridgewood, NY. He subsequently lived in Lake Hopatcong, NJ before moving to Rockaway Boro, NJ four years ago.
Mr. Schramm had been a chef at various restaurants in Ridgewood, NY before opening his own restaurant, The Palmwood Inn, also in Ridgewood, NY. He retired 17 years ago.
Survivors include his two children, Peter J. Schramm, of Virginia Beach , VA., and Anna M. Bird of Lake Hopatcong, NJ; and five grandchildren, Peter Jr., Ashley, David, Gabriel, and Renee. He was preceded in death by his five siblings, Michael, Kurt, Richard, and Herbert Schramm, and Margaret Bahnholzer.
As per Werner's wishes, arrangements will be private.
