Obituary of THOMAS H. CATANZARO

Thomas H. Catanzaro passed away peacefully Friday, July 6, 2018 in the company of his loving family at Morristown Medical Center. He was 71. Born in Hempstead, NY, he had lived in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany, NJ and Boonton Township, NJ, before coming to Montville, NJ in 1971. Mr. Catanzaro was a 1965 graduate of Parsippany High School and attended the NY Institute of Technology. He also served as a reservist with the US Army Corps of Engineers. He was the founder and president of Catanzaro and Sons Enterprises of Montville. Tom was a longtime member of St. Pius X R.C. Church of Montville, and its Knights of Columbus Council. Thomas was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Veronica M. (nee Palumbo); two sons, Tommy Catanzaro (Lina) of Boonton Township and Robert Catanzaro of Montville; two siblings, Joanne McCarthy (Dennis) of Montville and Stephen Catanzaro (JoAnn) of Whippany; two grandchildren, Maggie and Tommy Jr.; and several loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to the CJD Foundation (cjdfoundation.org). At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation hours.
