Obituary of TADEUSZ WIECEK

Tadeusz Wiecek passed away on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. He was 70. He was born in Pstrągowa, Poland on May 13th, 1948. As a teenager in 1966, he emigrated to Wallington NJ, where he met his future wife, Bożena Purwin. After they married on August 29 1970, they settled in Clifton and eventually moved to Pine Brook with their son, Paweł, where they have resided for over 30 years. Tadziu retired from Nabisco in Fair Lawn, NJ in 2001 after serving 20 years as maintenance supervisor. He loved the sun and summer, and was happiest at the pool or on the beach. He was smitten with his miniature Yorkie, Misia, and loved taking her for walks. He enjoyed vacationing all over with his family. His house was always open for everybody; visitors from Poland and family members. He helped many people in many ways. He was respected and loved by everybody. He will be very missed. Tadziu is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bozena (nee Purwin); a son, Pawel Wiecek; a daughter-in-law, Sarah; a granddaughter, Juliet; two brothers in the USA, Marian & Kazimierz Wiecek; as well as five siblings in Poland, Stanisław Wiecek, Władysław Wiecek, Krystyna Nieroda, Genowefa Stec, and Halina Masełek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Animal Rescue or the American Cancer Society.
