Obituary of SISTER PATRICIA MEIDHOF

Sister Patricia Meidhof, 85, formerly Sister Michael Maureen, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at Saint Joseph's Healthcare & Rehab Center, Cedar Grove, NJ. Sister Patricia was born in Metuchen, New Jersey, the daughter of Herbert M. and Annette (Gaffney) Meidhof. She entered the Sisters of Charity on April 2, 1950 and was a member for 68 years. Sister Patricia graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, New Jersey with a B.S. degree in Education and from Fairfield University, Fairfield, Connecticut with a degree in Education-Reading. Sister Patricia was an Educator in New Jersey. She served as a teacher at Epiphany School, Cliffside Park; St. Anastasia School, Teaneck; Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Maplewood and at St. Philip School, Saddle Brook. She was principal at St. Francis School, Ridgefield Park, NJ. In 2010 Sister Patricia was a Volunteer in Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth.and lived at Saint Mary of the Assumption parish. She lived at the Convent of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, until she moved to Saint Joseph's Healthcare & Rehab Center. She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; her brothers Allen and Paul (Christine); twenty-two nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews as well as great grandnieces and great grandnephews In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sisters of Charity Development Fund, P.O.
