Obituary of CARMELO M. CARRUBBA

Carmelo M. Carrubba passed away Sunday evening, September 2, 2018 at The Country Home in Parsippany following an extended illness. He was 93. Born in Belleville, NJ, Carmelo was raised in Newark and had lived in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany for over 60 years before moving to the Country Home. He served in the United States Marines during World War II, serving in Okinawa, Japan. Mr. Carrubba was a jeweler with the May Company of Orange, NJ for many years, retiring 31 years ago. Preceded in death by his wife Carmela (nee Attanasio) in 1999, and his brothers, Joseph, Paul and Salvatore Carrubba; he is survived by his son Guy Carrubba and his wife Sunkaya.
