Obituary of ROBERTA B. SAMITT

Roberta B. Samitt, 75, of Montville, New Jersey, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2018 from ovarian cancer. Beloved wife of Stephen for 54 years, devoted mother to Peter Samitt and his wife Pam, Caryn Silverman and her husband Eric, and loving grandmother to Taylor, Jake, Samantha and Allie. Roberta was a loving individual, giving of her time and soul to all in need. She loved getting involved in her earlier years with the PTA or as president of her local Cancer Care organization. Later, it was being part of her community, her town Montville, doing Zumba, playing Mah-jong, or having lunch with friends. In her early years, she was a teacher and a preschool teacher and never gave up her love for little ones and could spring into a nursery rhyme or song at any moment. She loved all animals and they loved her. She always greeted you with a big hug and treated everyone like family. She fought her two year battle with cancer with positivity and courage. She will be missed by all of those who had the pleasure of crossing her path.
