Obituary of ANN A. AMATO

Ann A. Amato (nee Paternostro) passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 18, 2018 at her Parsippany home. She was 88. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Amato moved to Parsippany in 1964 with her growing family. A homemaker, she had also worked as an executive assistant with AT & T in Parsippany, retiring 23 years ago. Mrs. Amato was a member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany. Preceded in death by her siblings, Carmine, John, Peter and Lucy; she is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ralph J. Amato; her son Robert Amato and his wife Patricia of Annapolis, MD; her two daughters, Karen Wadeyka and her husband Greg of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Diane Hagerstrom of Lancaster, PA.; her four grandchildren, Jennifer Wadeyka Murray and her husband Josh Murray, Kerri Ann Wadeyka, Victor Hagerstrom, and Michael Hagerstrom; her two great-grandchildren, Molly and Cooper Murray; her brother, Michael Paternostro; and her sister, Josephine Paternostro. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to the Greater New Jersey Alzheimer's Chapter of Denville, NJ, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
