Obituary of NINO COLONNELLI

Nino Colonnelli passed away Thursday evening, November 15, 2018 at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY following a sudden illness. He was 55.
Born and raised in Frosinone, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1970 settling in Hackensack, NJ. He lived in Oak Ridge, NJ before coming to the Towaco section of Montville, NJ in 1995. Mr. Colonnelli also maintained vacation homes on Block Island, RI, in Maine and in Florida where he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Colonnelli earned his Bachelors Degree in engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985.
He was the proprietor of Colonnelli Brothers Inc., a construction firm in Hackensack which he founded at the age of 22.
An avid sportsman and fisherman, Nino held his pilot and boat captain licenses.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa (nee Spinalli) Colonnelli; his three beloved children which were the center of his life, Stefani Colonnelli of Hoboken, NJ, Alexandra Salvano and her husband Anthony of Towaco, NJ, and Nino Gianmarco Colonnelli of Towaco, NJ; his parents, Umberto and Rosa (nee D'Arpino) Colonnelli of Towaco, NJ; and two sisters, Daniela Competiello and her husband Antonio of Towaco, NJ, and Anna Collemi and her husband Salvatore of Towaco, NJ; his parents-in-law, Frank and Joan Spinalli of Maine and his nieces and nephews. Nino will be missed by his beloved yellow lab, Baxter.
