Obituary of JOYCE GARRITY

Joyce Garrity (nee Pezzuti) passed away Tuesday evening, February 19, 2019 in the Hospice at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ she was a longtime resident of Cedar Grove, NJ before coming to Parsippany, NJ 15 years ago. Mrs. Garrity had worked as a customer service representative with Shulton Industries in Clifton before her retirement in 1991. She is survived by her four loving children, Joseph P. Garrity and his wife Theresa of St. Augustine, FL., Maureen Garrity and her partner Richard Hughes of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Patricia Murphy of Rockaway Boro, NJ, and Mary Ellen Garrity and her fiancee Henry Pietrewicz of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; a brother, Thomas Pezzuti and his wife Marion of Totowa Boro, NJ; eleven grandchildren and their partners, Leah Gelewski (David), Joseph Garrity Jr (Kristi), Stephanie Gelewski (Lyle), Kristine Crase (Charlie), Michael Gelewski (Danielle), Michael Murphy (Mollie), Matthew Murphy, Erica Gelewski, Brittany Murphy (Neal) Alyssa Garrity (Brendan) and Raymond Hughes (Jess); and ten great-grandchidlren. Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Pezzuti; and her sister, Barbara DuBois.
