I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of my uncle John. While I haven't seen him in decades, we did speak a year or so ago and he was still the same soft spoken, sweet, caring man that I remember back at Elm Tree Pool.
One of my fondest memories of John was how he'd open the pool to family and friends before and after the season. He'd throw giant sized inflated truck tubes into the pool for us all to lounge around on. We felt like royalty out there having the whole pool to ourselves.
My condolences to Joan and the whole family. He was a very special guy.

John Trecartin brought my family many years of joy at Elm-Tre - swimming, playing tennis all day and on the winning summer league team, great volleyball, bocce, a good snack bar, various parties and teaching my children learn to swim and watching them compete in swim meets. Elm-Tre nurtured summer friendships that turned into lasting ones. John will be remembered for how he welcomed everyone and enriched our lives.
