Mei-Lien "Mary" Young passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson following an automobile accident in Wayne. She was 82.
Born in Kee Lung, Taiwan, Ms. Young immigrated to the United States in 1970 settling in Brooklyn, NY. She had also lived briefly in New York, NY before coming to Wayne, NJ in 1976.
A restauranteur, Ms. Young and her former husband had owned the Peking Chinese Restaurant in Parsippany, NJ, Hunan Chinese Restaurant in Morris Plains, NJ, and Lee's Beijing Chinese Restaurant in Madison, NJ before her retirement in 1992.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Annie Lee-Beasley and her husband Rich of Wayne, NJ, and Patty Lee-Jerzak and her husband Wayne of Chelmsford, MA., three grandchildren, Anthony Jerzak, Samantha Peach, and Ashley Carow; and two great-grandchildren, Elodie Carow and Conner Peach.
At the family's request, all arrangements are private.
