Madlen B. Zahran (nee Zalaf) passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at St. Barnabas Medial Center in Livingston, NJ. She was 69.
Born in Beit Sahour, West Bank, Palestine, she immigrated to the Untied States in 1983 settling briefly on Long Island, NY. She was a resident of Jersey City for many years before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany three years ago.
Mrs. Zahran was a food service worker with the Jersey City Public Schools for over 20 years, retiring in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Zahran in 1995.
Survivors include her son, Naum Zahran of Pine Brook, NJ; her daughter, Nancy Zahran-Gonzalez and her husband William Gonzalez of Pine Brook, NJ; several siblings in West Bank, Palestine; and her granddaughter, Olivia Gonzalez.
Flowers will be gratefully received. Those wishing an alternative may consider a donation to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) in Madlen's memory.
