Obituary of CATERINA SPINOSA

Caterina Spinosa (nee Acampora), affectionately known as "Flo", passed away peacefully Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Victoria Mews Assisted Living in Boonton Township surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 Born in Agerola, Italy, Mrs. Spinosa immigrated to the United States in 1946, settling in Jersey City, NJ. She had lived in Union City, NJ before moving to Montville Township in 1973. A homemaker, Mrs. Spinosa was a wonderful cook and had an intense love of family and cherished nothing more than family gatherings. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Christopher Spinosa in 1997, and her five siblings, Lina Acampora, Michael Acampora, Anthony Acampora, Gregorio Acampora, and Angelina Avitabile. Survivors include her three loving children, Anthony Spinosa of Cumberland Gap, TN., Rita Moreno and her husband Ruben of Melbourne, FL., and Linda Gannon and her husband Robert of Montville Township, NJ; and four grandchildren, Christopher Gannon, Anthony Moreno, Michele Murray and her husband Zachary, and Adrian Moreno; her sisters-in-law, Mary, Dotty and Joan Spinosa, Louise and Immaculata Acampora, and many adored nieces and nephews.
