I went to high school with Lisa, and she was always so very down-to-earth and humble. I'm sorry to hear about all the health problems she had to deal with. At our 40 year high school reunion this past October, we heard about her recent passing and those who knew her (which was pretty much everybody) were saddened by the news

I was admitted to the hospital in August of 2013 at the age of 59 after having a heart attack. It was my good fortune to be blessed with a friendly, kind, caring and very funny room mate by the name of Lisa Vay. We connected so well that we actually exchanged addresses, I still have hers written in her own handwriting. I am sad and so sorry to hear of her illness and passing. I regret that I never re-connected with her. My most sincere sympathy to her family and friends. Rest in sweetest peace dear Lisa. I am most fortunate and so very grateful to have known you...

Lisa you were one of the greatest people I've known. Your compassion, generosity and warmth for all people and dogs were a common bond. I wish I had a chance to give you one more hug, one more visit. I will always remember you and miss you. Butterflies are free to fly, I know you will soar! Milton, and family, those we love don't go away, as my son Eric proves to me, they walk beside us every day, not seen, yet sending subtle messages that they are near watching over us. I am so very sorry to hear of Lisa's passing today. I am a patient at Montville dental and it was always a joy to be cared for by Lisa. We used to always used to talk about our consignment store finds. My last visit there with her she wrote me a list of all the good stores that I should check out. She was always so sweet, always singing a song and always had a nice thing to say. May you find comfort knowing that she has left a lasting impression in the lives she has touched. May she rest in sweet piece until you meet again.

"Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others"
Lisa was by my side for ten years, as my dental assistant and my friend. Without Lisa, my job would have been impossible. She always displayed kindness, compassion and concern for our patients. She took interest in their lives and in addition, she was exceptional at keeping patients' minds off the task at hand. Lisa always had great stories to tell. Her love of dogs and animals in general were some of her favorite talking points.
Lisa's unwavering determination to fight cancer over this past year is the hallmark of who she was. Lisa's spirit will always be with us. She will always be loved by her fellow coworkers, the patients she touched, her family and me.

They say behind every practitioner there's a great staff that makes a practice a success. I was very fortunate to have Lisa for so many years as one my top assistants. She truly earned the title of "Chief Assistant". When treating a patient, she often knew what I needed before I did. Lisa was so good with every patient, from the toddler to the senior citizen. They all loved her. Needless to say, we will all miss her very much.
